ACES-Energy was recently tasked with designing and building a mobile renewable energy trailer for a remote research facility outside of Naples, NY. The facility will house a small faculty and will welcome visiting scientists and environmentalists thoughout the year on the premises. This trailer will be towed by one of the three 100% electric utility vehicles currently on site around the 200+ acre wilderness ranch. It will allow folks to bring their laptops and experimental equipment anywhere on the property and have power. In addition, it will be used to charge both electric road vehicles and off-road utility vehicles that will be used on site.

The trailer features (4) solar panels mounted on a custom trailer which houses the central control mechanism, batteries, charge controllers and safety devices. During sunlight hours, the battery bank will continuously recharge providing endless 120volt electricity as any wall receptacle would. During nighttime, the battery bank will provide 8-16 hours of power supply, depending on usage and air temperature. The panels are adjustable and will sit flush to the trailer for transport.
