ACES-Energy was hand selected to be the only local contracting company that offers residential and light commercial Geothermal Heating & Cooling and Solar PV solutions. This honor exemplifies how ACES-Energy is portrayed in the local community of Rochester, NY.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The act of “going green” has become a buzz phrase in the 21st century, but many leading Rochester organizations are now dedicated large amounts of talent and resources to offer sustainable options to their customers. And they are coming together for the third annual “Go Green with Michael Viggiani” Expo on Thursday evening, June 20 — which will be the largest gathering of Rochester businesses offering green and sustainable products and services.

The public is invited to attend the free event from 5 to 9 p.m. at Rochester Museum & Science Center, to experience the latest in sustainable offerings, from carpeting and roofing to restoration and energy.  The museum will run on green energy that day in conjunction with the Go Green event, which will be the first zero-landfill-waste event in Rochester.

The Expo will feature more than 20 companies and is being organized by Michael Viggiani, a pioneer in the field of sustainable energy who introduced the first sustainable lighting technology in Rochester in 2008. In the five years since he brought LED technology to Rochester, he has seen technology and product lines for green initiatives grow rapidly as the world is being more aware and aggressive regarding sustainability.

“Rochester’s business legacy is based on engineering and new philosophies and today’s Rochester companies are following suit, by focusing on sustainability and bringing new products to the market that are environmentally and energy friendly,” said Viggiani, president of Rochester-based Go Green LED International, which will exhibit offerings at the June 20 event. “I strongly believe in sustainability, doing what’s right, and also sharing the information that there is an incredible cost-savings for using sustainable products and energy.”

He holds a patent related to film preservation with a second patent currently in process. In May 2013 he earned the Sustainability Award for the restoration he designed and completed on an historic structure at George Eastman House, where he has served as facilities manager for 25 years. The award was granted by the Business Owners & Managers Association (BOMA).

The event’s Gold Sponsors are EMCOR Services Betlem, LeChase Construction, The Pike Company, and Schuler-Haas Electric Corp. Companies being showcased at the Go Green EXPO are as follows: Go Green LED International, Temp-Press, Alternative Carbon Energy Systems, , EMCOR Group Inc., Herman HVAC Products, Kistler Inc., BCS, Green & Dry Carpet Cleaning, Henderson-Johnson, Alexander Enterprises, Day Automation, Modular Comfort Systems, Mohawk Group/Greenfield Flooring, Fusion Digital, National Fuel Resource, R.P. Fedder Corp., Rainbow International Restoration, Sherwin-Williams, and Constellation Energy, which is providing the green energy that day to power the museum and the event.

The Go Green event will include live music, food and drinks, and a silent auction to benefit the EquiCenter, a non-profit horse-riding therapy program in Mendon that serves returning veterans and children with disabilities. EquiCenter is the main benefactor of the Go green event, as it is raising funds to build a fully sustainable barn so it can serve its clients year round. Pre-registration is required for those wishing to attend the Go Green Expo. Please RSVP by email atmviggiani@gogreenledinternational.com.

Rochester, N.Y. --
The third annual "Go Green with Michael Viggiani" expo will be held Thursday, June 20. It's the largest gathering of Rochester businesses offering green and sustainable products and services.

The public is invited to attend the free event from 5 to 8 p.m. at Rochester Museum & Science Center. The latest in sustainable offerings, from carpeting and roofing to restoration and energy, will be on display. The expo will feature more than 20 companies, one of which is Michael Viggiani's Rochester-based Go Green LED International.

Viggiani, of Gates, introduced the first sustainable lighting technology in Rochester in 2008.

“I strongly believe in sustainability, doing what’s right, and also sharing the information that there is an incredible cost-savings to using sustainable products and energy," he said.

He holds a patent related to film preservation with a second patent currently in process. In May 2013, the Rush-Henrietta grad earned the Sustainability Award for the restoration he designed and completed on an historic structure at George Eastman House, where he has served as facilities manager for 25 years. The award was granted by the Business Owners & Managers Association.

Companies being showcased at the Go Green expo include Alternative Carbon Energy Systems, EMCOR, Sherwin-Williams, and Constellation Energy, which is providing the green energy that day to power the museum and the event. And, according to Viggiani, it will be the first zero-landfill-waste event in Rochester.

The Go Green event will include live music, food and drinks, and a silent auction to benefit the EquiCenter, a nonprofit horse-riding therapy program in Mendon that serves returning veterans and children with disabilities. Pre-registration is required as the event is limited to 400 people. RSVP by email to mviggiani@gogreenledinternational.com.
